Glenn serves as Board President and Chair and has been a Board member since 2018. He is the Founder and Chief Caring Officer of Duxbury & Associates Building Inspection and Consulting Ltd., a family business based in New Westminster.
With extensive expertise in building inspections, homes, and the built environment, Glenn has built a career focused on helping people better understand, maintain, and care for their properties. He also brings valuable governance experience, having previously served as Vice-President of another volunteer board.
Glenn joined the Board to give back to the community and support the Society’s mission through his knowledge of buildings and housing. He brings leadership, governance experience, and technical expertise in the built environment, contributing practical insight to the Board’s work.
Bill serves as Vice Chair of the Board and has been a Board member since 2023. He brings more than 40 years of senior leadership experience in the transportation and logistics industry, overseeing domestic and international trade operations.
Most recently, Bill retired from his role as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Local Logistics Co. after more than 25 years as a Service Center Manager with an international shipping company, where he developed extensive expertise in customer service, operations, and business development.
Bill joined the Board to give back to his community and support the Society’s mission of providing quality housing for seniors. He brings strategic leadership, operational expertise, and business development experience to the Board, and currently contributes through the Building and Media Committees. Outside of the Board, Bill is a longtime volunteer coach with Softball BC, where he has mentored young athletes for more than 15 years.
Richard serves as Treasurer and has been a Board member since 2021. He brings more than 30 years of business management experience across multiple industries. As an entrepreneur, he has built a career focused on operational efficiency, sales optimization, inclusive workplace culture, and long-term organizational resilience, consistently leading teams toward sustainable growth.
Richard serves on the Board because he is committed to strengthening governance and supporting the Society’s long-term success through thoughtful leadership and strategic planning. He brings expertise in strategic leadership, business operations, human resources, organizational development, and governance. Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of British Columbia and a Human Resources Certificate from BCIT.
Arun serves as the Board Secretary and has been a member of the Board since 2018. He is a Strategic Management Professional and Founder of The Anuswara Infotech Inc. With more than 10 years of experience, he has worked across a wide range of disciplines, including operations, marketing, business development, business analysis, business automation, and general business management.
His diverse professional background has enabled him to develop a strong understanding of organizational growth, process improvement, and strategic decision-making.
Dylan has served as a Board member since 2024. He has a background in film arts and academia. He works in Vancouver’s film and television industry, where he currently works as a stagehand in production design.
His educational background includes graduate work in the social sciences and humanities. A desire to be involved in community projects related to housing brought him to the board.
Bre has served as Board member since 2025. She is the Violence Prevention Specialist with the City of Vancouver and brings more than 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the non-profit housing sector. Previously, she served as a Senior Manager overseeing fund development and programs at a housing non-profit, where she led initiatives supporting organizational growth, service delivery, and community impact.
Her experience in both municipal and non-profit settings provides a well-rounded perspective on housing systems and community needs.
Rachel has served as a Board member since 2025. She is a Research Program Coordinator at Simon Fraser University, where she supports research initiatives and applies her expertise in social science research. She holds a Master’s degree in Political Science, and her academic work exploring what motivates people to become active in their communities has been presented at national and international conferences.
Rachel serves on the Board because of her commitment to addressing housing challenges faced by seniors and supporting housing that enables older adults to live safely, affordably, and with dignity. She brings expertise in research and evaluation, community engagement, strategic thinking, and technical writing, along with an analytical approach to understanding community needs and strengthening programs and services.
Dani has served as a Board member since 2026. She is the Director of Housing at YWCA BC, where she oversees a diverse housing portfolio serving women and their dependent children. Previously, she served as Associate Director of Integrated Health and Housing with Community Builders, leading cross-sector initiatives that integrated health and housing services for individuals experiencing complex barriers to housing stability.
With extensive frontline and leadership experience, particularly in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, Dani has dedicated her career to advancing equity and strengthening community resilience. She serves on the Board to help create meaningful social impact and contribute to systems change. Dani brings expertise in trauma-informed practice, strategic partnerships, program development, and systems-level leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and a Legal Studies Certificate from Simon Fraser University.
